WfZ PHLOGS

This is one of six wells installed today in the Bolero area of Rhumpi district 78km from the factory. The area has been ravaged by severe drought and a cholera epidemic as far back as May, where many people died.
The area has 8300 families, without safe water, which is in the region of 60,000 people.
Here the 220 villagers were admiring and envying the earlier pumps but today were delighted with their own new pump and promised to continue digging wells until project is complete.

The district is Rhumpi and the village name is Goyani.
The well is 8.55 meters deep and has over 2.2 metres of water today meaning that they will always have sufficient water, as this is the driest time. It certainly beats their current source, which was an almost dry river 8 km away.
