Christmas cake

Today we had a family day of feeling Christmassy! After a Christmas film, we popped into Trowbridge. Not that we needed much but we wanted to soak up the festive atmosphere - I can't say it felt very Christmassy so we headed home! Once home Theo and Neil played with the fake snow and drove little tanks and aeroplanes around in it (see additional photo) whilst I finally marzipanned and iced the cake (see main photo - the figurines are plastic!). Then we sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn, put on Christmas pyjamas, left out the carrot and mince pie and hung up the stockings!
Both boys fell quickly asleep giving me time to prepare the veg and do the things Mum's do on Christmas Eve ;) with a glass of mulled wine! Now let's see how early we get woken up...
