Edinburgh from The Pentlands

Lunch followed by a walk in the Pentlands today with former colleague, Tom. The Pentlands offer good walking and often fabulous views over Edinburgh. Despite the cloud today and the occasional threat of rain there was a clearness to the air and this image shows the south side of the city with Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat prominent. The Forth and the distant Fife coast are also quite clear.
