Mushrooms?

I have called this blip "mushrooms" as I assume these are a variety of mushroom! There were two "growths" of this size on the trunk of a tree by the side of the road. Presumably the wet weather has been good for this type of plant. I was struck however by The orange colour and the contrast with the tree bark
