Deck the Tree

A restful day with quiet weather. We went to George and Kat's in Leicester for the afternoon. George and Len went off to watch Leicester City at home while Kat and I laid out on the sofas and watched Kung Fu Panda and the remainder of The Imitation Game, a film about the work of Alan Turing and colleagues during the Second World War.

There are so many inaccuracies in the film that it's almost laughable. Turing was not, apparently, autistic for a start although that's what's suggested. He just liked to work on his own. There are even caveats about his suicide which has been attributed to a cyanide laced apple. The cyanide fumes could perhaps have been emitted from an experiment he was conducting in his rooms rather than intentionally ingested. We will never know.

Leicester City lost 0-2 to Everton. As a result, it was a quiet homecoming for the boys, but a super supper of left over meats and fried up veg made up for it. I had my mini gluten free Christmas pud for dessert. The others had some sort of chocolate log which they all agreed was very sickly.

Then we played games. Several rounds of Uno with Len getting more and more disgruntled because he wasn't winning, and then a quick dash of pie face using whipping cream and taking turns. If you're a Facebook friend, you can watch the videos on Facebook.

Len finally managed to win the last game of Uno! Basil enjoyed a few slices of turkey under the table.

Photo of the tree is a multi exposure in camera.
