A Sad Day

The author of one of my lifelong favourite books died today.
Richard Adams transported me to another world when he wrote Watership Down. My mother met him at the time of its launch as she was in charge of buying for a large bookstore and when she told me all about him, I was fascinated by the mind of this incredible man.
I also thoroughly loved Shardik.
