Corbières blues in green

Today, S spotted that Dave Kelly, of the Blues Band, was playing a free concert in Lagrasse this evening. So we called our blues-obsessed friend D, and set off for a pleasant evening under the plane trees.

The concert was hosted by a winemaker who has a tasting room on the promenade, so wine, plates of charcuterie, and local organic veal grilled over coals were on offer. They didn't seem quite prepared for the crowds (mainly British) who turned up, so S spent quite a lot of the early part of the evening queueing up for food and drink. On tasting it, we were glad we'd only bought a glass each of the white wine, and decided to buy a bottle of red to save further queueing. Mistake, we should have brought our own :) The veal was nice though.

As for the music, Dave Kelly was very good, as you would expect, but unfortunately after the first set he invited various youthful members of his entourage to sing. So we quickly made our excuses and left, abandoning the remains of our bottle to our table mates.

I backblipped yesterday.
