Pleasantly Surprised...

Photos quite literally didn't do it justice.

A lot of my earlier skating was carved out on the small skatepark in King's Park in Stirling when it was the biggest and most local skatepark outside of our weekend trips over to Livingston. This year, the skatepark has been ripped down all but the best part of it which has been incorporated into the new one which is but a couple of weeks from completion.

I didn't really know what to expect and the plans I'd seen didn't really give many clues on scale. Tonight we went in an official SkateboardScotland capacity up to Stirling to offer input for their official opening day organisations.

After the meeting we took a wee trip down to the park to see how it was looking and we even talked the security guard to letting us in to see it up close and personal.

It is looking gooood and a lot bigger and pleasantly challenging than the pictures tell you.

Notes on the Picture...
Big Fish. I took a wee High Street daunder at lunchtime and caught a few very good street acts. Some rather funny Australian magician, a very good bass player and this very cute, slightly odd but a whole lot of fun chinese gent with his bamboo mat. He was brill.
