Another from the depths

I had labelled it "Carnival 1961"
So I enquired of "Old Aspatria" online  for a guess at the month,   I was told:-
".....That was the year you won First Prize in the Original Adult Class for your Ban The Bomb cycle. The Metcalf cup and Spirt of the Carnival went to Tom Hillary with his tableaux Captain Pugwash and his Pirates."
The correspondent said ..."Saturday June 6 1961". Trouble is the 6th was a Tuesday, but I doubt I'll find MANY more for either of 2 possible Saturdays.
