Marsh Harrier

Saw this beauty up in the palm trees, his presence in the tree was very obvious as there were about ten House Crows circling above! Poor bird this raptor can't do anything without being hounded by Crows who want to stop him catching a bird or two. He sat perched for a while and then made his escape much to the delight of the noisy Crows. A fabulous sight in the gorgeous afternoon light! For such a big bird his beak is surprisingly small, but I suppose it works well for this predator.
