Changes

Over the last decade or so we have spent just about every New Year’s Eve with the same friends. They have come up to stay and we have cooked a meal, shared the evening and seen in the New Year together. Sadly this year they are unable to come, and we are on our own. Things change, circumstances change and none of us is getting any younger. We just have to adapt.
 
The world also changes, not always for the better, but we can only hope things do not turn out as badly as we fear. This time last year we, in our little world, were worried that Blipfoto would not last much longer and we were planning our New Year blip to encourage everyone to pledge money and help keep the site going. And so many people did so, and took out a membership when asked to . . . and we still have Blip.
 
So perhaps we should be more optimistic for the New Year. And come what may, the sun will rise on 2017 and Blackbirds will be eating the apples.
