... in advance to all our friends who are coming to our bbq tomorrow evening, as the standard of seating is not up to scratch and may be well much more uncomfortable than you are used to. Extra helpings of chicken and salad and a few more glasses of wine may help!

The thing is that we haven't looked after the chairs that came with the Mas and haven't given them the required coats of paint... nor have we made sure that all chairs were stored inside during the winter.

We have four wooden folding chairs that all need painting and two also need mending, four very uncomfortable metal chairs that should have been painted, four rush-seated traditional chairs that have been left out in all weathers for four years and three sun-loungers that are rather stained with visitors' sun lotions...

In fact the two bar stools rescued from the village tip are the best of the bunch!
