THE SHEEP ON THEIR WAY TO

Wahmbeck or another village perhaps.
A slow start of the first day of the new year.
After lunch we had to decide where we would walk to. The sun was shining, so we had the impression it would be delightful to let it shine on our faces.
A drive to Helmarshausen and walk there around the Mittelberg.
As soon as we turned to the right almost down our hill, I saw it from far, the road was filled with sheep, they were running, and Piet Hein parked along the road. I jumped out, Piet Hein too, and we started to take pictures of this amazing sight.
Much earlier in the year we had seen them coming from the forest to town, and now they were running uphill towards the Woods.
A man drove at the beginning, he showed his dog to collect the sheep that started to walk into the gardens along the road.
A bit higher up a lot of sheep walked into the path that leads to the former Jugendherberg, where the refugees are living nowadays, and then the man who drove at the end of the caravane, had to show the sheep the way down, and look, three of them kept walking towards the entrance. These too were assembled and led to the road again.

After this adventure we drove to Helmardshausen and had a wonderful walk, the air was really cold, but without wind blowing it did not feel too cold. And there is always hot tea to make when we come home again.
Can't complain about this start of the month.

It felt so good to see the pictures of the silly saturday challenge in the galleries, some very hilarious, some lovely silly, I laughed and smiled a lot, and tonight I will give my first five hearts,  to gordo, Hanulli, inkface, mambo and JohnW.
