Security measures

There were lots of police officers and cars today in Granada city centre.
Every January 2nd a local celebration is held in Granada to commemorate the end of the conquest of the Spanish land from the Arabs by the Catholic Sovereigns, Fernando and Isabel.

It seems not everybody agrees with the idea of commemorating this conquest and in the last four or five years there have been riots and fights between the people in favour or against this celebration.

 What a stupid way of spending such a brilliant day!
