Lights on the pond

A beautiful day .... just my kind of weather ... cold, crisp, clear and sunny.

After visiting a friend in the nursing home this morning L and I went for a walk round the pond which lies just beside The Pond Hotel out near Anniesland Cross in Glasgow. Sadly there were no Goosanders there today. The sub zero temperatures over night caused a thin layer of ice to form over parts of the pond .... perhaps the Goosanders prefer open water that is ice free.
