Yummy Blackberries

I have only just realised how important blackberries might be to some birds at this time of year.

A fortnight ago I saw a bullfinch feeding on the seeds of dried, dead brambles. Today, I saw a male chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) doing just the same.  Better still, I managed to capture a half decent image of him doing so.
