Day 8: Great Yarmouth

2years 305days - 34months

Fabulous fun today! Blipbuddies are great!! We got the children up and sorted and took the girls to a toddler swim session (MasterPink played in the water too). They had fun with dive sticks, fish, large inflatable lily pads, woggles, and enjoyed having a bit more space without the rest of the holidaymakers. A fun session. We then took them to the Rory show in the club, which they really enjoyed singing along to.

We then headed to the bus and went to explore the Great Yarmouth seafront. We wandered down the touristy street, before heading to the Pier. The children climbed in every ride, enjoyed fresh doughnuts, played on these pretty steps for quite a long time, and then made it to the beach for a play. We picnicked on the sands (in and with the sands, perhaps more accurately) before we wandered along the promenade.

We discovered a wonderful bouncy castle with dinosaurs, cave climbing wall and big slides. Katie loved the climbing wall! I couldnt believe how quickly she got the hang of it. She made me go down the slide with her, so her, Master Pink and I bounced down the slide together.

We walked further along and Master Pink spotted an ice cream place that he declared was where we were going to have our ice creams from later. We walked more, and found a place on the second pier to sit and enjoy tea, juice and snacks before we turned back. And ate gigantic ice creams from the yummy stall. Master Pink chose well. We walked back up the touristy street, stopping to buy gifts from the Worlds Biggest Rock shop, before stopping to buy little toys for all the children to play with in a "dont go to sleep yet" mission for the bus. It succeeded.

A very tasty meal in the park's restaurant and it was time to say goodbye to the Pinks. One very fabulous visit with really lovely friends. Thanks Pinks for sharing our holiday!

We went that evening to the character show, with Cheeky, Bradley, Polly and Anxious and then watched the talent show. She absolutely loved the character show and was so into the dancing and gymnastics in the talent show, then asked to go home, and nearly fell asleep in my arms.
