Beautiful Morning for Rowing

But it didn't last!  I was out at 6.45 a.m., and this is what the lake looked like.  Calm with nice reflections.  As the rowers came in an hour later, a strong southerly wind came up, and it has been gale force all morning.  It was so cold at croquet, that we were all wearing warm clothing, and a few players called it a day after morning tea, as it was freezing.  Only the hardy lasted the morning.  A few of us were nearly knocked off our feet the wind was so strong!!!

This afternoon I finished stacking the wood, and I must say I am so pleased that this job is out of the way.  I should have lots of dry wood for the winter.
