Monymusk

The plan today was to take a walk from the village of Monymusk. The village is about 20 miles north west of Aberdeen. It is a "planned" village originally built in the early 18th century to provide living accommodation for workers on the Monymusk estate, the existing village centre dates mostly from the period 1810 to 1840.

Our planned walk did not come to pass, partly because Cosmo did not seem to feeling well enough for a walk in the countryside. Despite Monymusk being so close to Aberdeen I think it is the first time I have been there. We did not stay long on this occasion, so I will have to return another time for a better look around.
