A Big Mountain THANK YOU!

....for all the lovely , kind, and funny comments, stars and hearts on my 2,555th blip!!!!   How lucky am I to be a part of such an amazing community!
I finally got the opportunity to see the movie Eagle Huntress today---as recommended here on blip by three fine promenent fellow blippers!  But it wasn't playing locally so a dear friend went across the waters to Bainbridge Islans today to see the film as it was playing at a theater
there.   We had the choice of going over there or a couple other places even further away.  I thoroughly enjoyed the exquisitely photographed film and the story so culturally rich with a strong feninist theme.  And what an incredibly pretty day too...altho very cold again I wasnt fumbling with tripods etc. in sub zero weather....just a quick capture of our lovely Mt. Rainier with my smaller camera from the ferry boat....and  then a pop back into the warmth of the car:)
Here are a couple movie write ups....:
This spellbinding documentary follows Aisholpan, a 13-year-old nomadic Mongolian girl who is fighting to become the first female eagle hunter in twelve generations of her Kazakh family. Through breathtaking aerial cinematography and intimate verite footage, the film captures her personal journey while also addressing universal themes like female empowerment, the natural world, coming of age and the onset of modernity.
And a great link to read a lot more about this wonderful documentary go here!
