After Twelfth Night!

Have you ever wondered what happens to the Christmas decorations after Twelfth Night? You probably think that they're safely boxed up and dozing in the loft until next year. Well think again because there are always the rebels that want to prolong the fun. I spotted this escapee hanging on a tree in the car park at Whittington Castle this afternoon. As it's wearing a snowflake patterned overcoat it probably thought that it would be cosy enough to face the elements of a Shropshire winter. I didn't disturb it's moment of freedom but crept away quietly.

The extra is of the first snowdrop to bloom in the village Garden of Remembrance. It's thirteen days later than last year, I spotted the first on Christmas Day.
