Little Drummer Boy

I met my oldest friend in town today for my birthday lunch. On the way to meet her, I came across the parade to the Royal Square of the re-enactment commemorating the Battle of Jersey in 1781. It was not only the last battle on Jersey soil, but the last on British soil. Celebrations have been intermittent, concentrating on major anniversaries, until relatively recently, when there has been a revived interest. the group who do the re-enactments are called the
1781 Jersey Militia and you can find out more about them on their website here.
