Blizzard at Dogcorner

Every part of me is aching from shoveling our long driveway with T. No, we don't have a plow person. We have a stone driveway and have only found one guy who could remember to lift his blade just high enough not to plow all the driveway stones onto the lawn. When he moved, there's been a series of unfortunate stone plowing experiences, so we have just our shovels. It's a long driveway, or lane as Nora called it, it seems longer on days like this. We shoveled for 2 hours in nasty conditions and the snow totals went from 7.5 inches/ 19cm to 12 inches/30 cm in that amount of time. We're heading to 20 inches/50cm now with quite a wind. It's even nastier closer to Cape Cod and the coast. We'll have to do it all over tomorrow, but it won't be as daunting as if we waited and tried to do it all at once at the final depth. The end of the driveway is awful, where the town plows spread road snow as they make their passes, it's so heavy, ugh! Hopefully we'll be able to move enough tomorrow morning to even grasp a shovel !

For the Record
This day came in calm with snow starting at about 10 and whipping up into a regular old fashioned blizzard by noon.

All hands exhausted

Extras, A busy town plow, me with ice hanging from hat & hair after shoveling and T at the start of the storm.
