Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By cdsvfdcs

A good morning!

Met this group of kids at the marina about 8:30 this morning…getting ready for a kayak adventure to Prevost Island.  Fortunately it looked like a gorgeous day, altho it’s 27F/-3C right now and snow was predicted for later.   “better than rain on their tents”, the one in the foreground says to me.   They all had big packs—I hope they are all getting stuffed in waterproof bags…

It was a lovely ferry ride for us (extra: the Delta port -where all that coal is shipped to China -with the mountains behind Vancouver…and I even caught the migrating trumpeter swans in a field while whizzing by at 70 mph.( the other extra.)  they come from Alaska or Siberia along with flocks of snow geese in December and winter over here til march or april…we should take another slower trip just to see them in the skagit area.

And if that wasn’t enough, we were rolling on the freeway near the school in North Seattle where Nik’s 1st basketball game of the season was just starting —so of course we had to stop for that (there will be many more opportunities for those pix!)

Nice to be home..it looks like Christmas here!…and it’s warm.
