Back to Seattle

Back to the city —very grey —cars with lights on at 10:45AM.  Rain, not snow or ICE like our southern neighbors, however…… Saw these bright origami birds and liked how they framed the couple with their dog and their coffee  (yep.. our neighborhood… they could get these cups at any one of 3 places within a block (don’t think it’s Starbucks tho)…

And back home, in another hour …OFF goes the power.  WHAT?   This is the city not the islands!  …some technical power station issue affecting 20,000 homes!    It was back in 3 hours…just short of what it took the Island BC Hydro to come out in a boat to the island from another island and cut down a tree on the line to restore the power there for maybe 14.    Maybe this is Russia interfering….( sorry ..we are thinking all sorts of bizarre ideas leading up to Jan 20 when the “shit hits the fan”    oh who said that?)    I’ll stop.
