Ready for the Parade Lap

Today I went from walking amongst trees to walking through the pits as I attended the Ruapuna round of the NZ Superbikes series.

As usual there was some great action on track. The technical Ruapuna circuit at The Mike Pero Motorsport Park always offers some tight racing, and today was no exception.

In between the action there was a Legends Parade featuring renowned race bikes through the years. Wayne Graves pictured had the pleasure of giving the 1987 Suzuki RG500 a leg stretch. Lucky man.

In the extras you'll see what I mean by tight racing as contenders in the Superbike race jostle for position out of the final corner before the front straight.
