008 — Texture

Today's assignment from the book "Vision 365: Mastering the Everyday Practice of Seeing": photograph texture.

It's been a busy day looking after baby and trying to make sure Melinda is okay. Pretty much knackered now. Needed to get today's shot in though so I grabbed Elowyn's blanket, which we've been using all day.

Camera mounted on the ultrapod ii with the fantastic 60mm macro lens. Shot 1:1 in AF with manual focus, got right in there and captured the texture. Looks a little rough this close in but it's oh so soft to the touch.

Off to bed, Elowyn is In the middle of a leap which usually means waking every one-and-a-half to two hours at the longest to feed and settle her.
