At the Blue Pools

At the Blue Pools were thousands of Tourists, and millions of Sandflies!!!  We knew it was going to be busy when we couldn't get a park in the parking area on the main road.  The track was the busiest that I have ever seen it.  However, once we crossed this bridge we left the tourists behind, and it was only the 15 of us, and one or two others who headed down the true right of the Makarora River.  We had our lunch beside the Ore River, which joins the Makarora River.  As we set off back to the cars it started to rain, but not for long.  Most of us had an ice cream at a local Makarora Cafe on the way home.  Another super day in the great outdoors.

Extra 1 is waiting to cross a swing bridge, and
extra 2 is the group taking a break on the beautiful forest track.
