Happy Birthday Tony!

It wouldn't be a birthday without lunch at Betty's at Harlow Carr.  We drove to Skipton first to pick up our new specs and then on to Harrogate and a wander around the garden shop before heading to the cafe. Tony had the poached salmon sandwich and a vanilla slice whilst I went for the curried parsnip soup and a chocolate eclair!  Then it was to the Blue Barn to stock up on huge sacks of bird food in readiness for the cold snap heading our way later this week and I finished off the day with a circuit of Bingley St Ives before the sun sank below the horizon.

We're not really doing presents these days but Tony is booked to do the tour of Mont Blanc in the summer, much more attractive than a pair of socks!
