The Spider's Web

We had a slow walk today, taking a lot of pictures as we went. Many of them were around this stream, about half-a-kilometre  from where we live.
I've mentioned before that I'm fascinated by the reflections that dark water gives. I also love the patterns formed by running water; the way the water remains smooth as it runs over the top, and then forms a V, still racing forward. The eddies at the side either form standing waves or run upstream against the flow. You see exactly the same pattern in a small stream like this, or in a huge rapid.
HarlingDarling named this image "The Spiders Web" as soon as she saw the reflections!  Her Blip is taken just above this pool.
My extras look downstream, starting with the pool above this  stream, including this little rapid, and upstream from this picture.
