Panic descended on London due to the looming tube strike. I would not want to be living in London, trying to get to work on such a day. Imagine the commuter indignation and everything being labelled as 'disgusting'.

I lugged bulky purchases back on the train that I should quite clearly have had delivered.

Bizarrely mild. Without UK temperatures to carp about, I checked what's happening in Transylvania as I'm going there for work next week. Monday has a nighttime low of minus 24. My blood ran cold. I don't have enough fur-lined garments. Cue more shopping required.
