Grenzau in the snow

The further north we got, the more snow fell ... or so it seems. Now in the north of Germany, there is a gorgeous fresh covering over the pretty town of Grenzau where we spent the night.

The extra is of the ruined 'spur' castle that stands on guard above the village. The 105' angular tower (bergfried) in the right of the shot is triangular, one corner angled at the hill for greatest effect against attack.
