Slipping downriver ...

A sub from Faslane heads downriver early this afternoon with its attendant pilot ship (I imagine - I'm not an expert). Makes you realise how hard it is to spot a sub on the surface. And I couldn't help thinking of the potential for destruction of this nuclear-powered hunter-killer - it looks a bit like an Astute-class submarine - and how I've never got used to living in such proximity to them.
