Teenage Wildlife

According to our INSET instructor, teenagers are not human. The neurons of the adolescent brain undergo a massive increase in the rate of dendritic branching. This has the positive effect of increasing their capacity for abstract thought, but the negative effect of seeing too many non-existent connections between things thereby seeming to be somewhat "out there."

Apparently, Valerie has gone from human to chipmunk and is seen here engaged in typical adolescent behaviour. I love her to bits, but eagerly await the dendritic pruning period.
