Sandy the Seal was the only seal that we saw today in the rough sea beside the Seabird Centre at North Berwick.  The waves were coming over the nearby harbour wall so it must have been quite awesome later at the high tide while meanwhile dozens of birds were lining the shore and then dodging the high waves with the gulls usually flying up while the turnstones ran at speed up the beach.  (extra)
