Vety early Saturday mornings

This fabulous and welcoming Port Credit coffee shop is open at 6 am every Saturday morning, when we head to the rowing club. I love the big birch trees out front. I have a tea, watch the sunrise over the lake and read the paper while the guys row, then i join them and about 4 of the ladies for our weekly Pilates session. It was super cold today so for once we drew the heavy black drapes and had a darker session ending with a lovely long shivasana. They had a rowing power test today of 2 sets of 20 minutes each at a cap of 22 stroke rate and were pooped. After our awesome pub breakfast i went back to the club to teach 2 back to back sessions of Pilates to the juniors (teens) as there were 34 of them! Back home for a quiet afternoon/evening and massive pot of home made turkey barley soup, very restorative and good for my sweetie who is at the tail end of his 2 week flu/cough.
