Angels Among Us

Shot this statue at a cemetery today. I noticed it about a year ago, but we don't get out that way too often.  I knew today we'd be in the area and luckily my wife was patient enough to let me go by and get some shots.  According to the plaque on the base of this beauty, the statue was blessed by Pope St. John Paul II at a Vatican audience on June 19, 2002.  It's a stunning piece.  I only wish that the background sky had been a little more compelling.
