Lazy Blip

It was too cold to go Blip hunting outside - it's been about 0 or -1°C all day.  Except in my office - where I had to have both windows open this afternoon and it was still over 26°C when I left at 3. 

A dull sort of day enlivened only by the usual cabaret provided on the bus home.  I swear my bus is used by every weirdo in the city.

And here I'm imagining lots of you wanting to type "Well, you're on it every day..."  Trust me, I am no match for my fellow passengers.

Came home, sat down at the computer and things started to go odd.  Internet, telephone and power all went out and then back on again.  And then back off again.  And then back on again.

Repeat for about 20 minutes until we notice that the power indicators on the extension plugs are going off as well.

Down into the cellar and look at the fusebox.  It's making a very unhealthy Frzzzzzzz-Frzzzzzzz-Frzzzzzzzz noise.  And would you look at that, if you cut the power off to my study the noises stop.  No other room in the house is affected - just mine.

This means we have to get an electrician to have a look and to repair it.  Brace yourselves for Ausländer and German Tradesmen Part 100.  It will be a debacle*.  It always is.
