Ozamnus diosmifolius

These tiny buds are no more than 2mm across. Even when the buds burst open they are no more than 4mm.  To try to get the size in perspective I have used a background shot of this nondescript Australian native shrub. They carry masses of these tiny white balls for months and just when you begin to think they have browned off and finished, you realise they have flowered into these pretty tawny blooms, full of the tiniest seeds. Up until now I have always thought the buds were the actual flowers so I am delighted with this find.  That's what Blip does to you!
