Back to Canberra

And so, after 2.5 weeks of travelling around, we began the final journey back to Canberra. Stew and Ella told us that we were on the Oyster Coast, and recommended trying some, since none of the 3 of us could remember having had an oyster we stopped at the first sign we saw. We all enjoyed them, and finally ate a 1 month old lemon we’d be carrying along all this time. In Bermagui we went for a 90min run along the beach to “Camel rocks”. As we began to run back, thunder began, making for quite a tense, but exhilarating run. Since it was raining, all the Aussies had evacuated the blue pool which had been previously filled to the brim, and so we had it all to ourselves!

I drove along the King’s Highway, up and over the Great Dividing Range. This was a great fun winding mountain road, but got quite sketchy as we went into the clouds and visibility was about 20m! Arrived back in the Melhuish’s house to a delicious meal (as always) and chatted to Zoe and Tara about our travels.
