De Gaulle

L'Angleterre, ce n'est plus grand chose. (England is not much any more)

Spoken by De Gaulle in 1963.

I took myself off to Kinghorn Loch after lunch for coffee and cake. I hoped (in vain) it might help restore my soul.

After that I spent 30 minutes in the hide by the loch, watching the birds. That worked better plus I got a Blip. A moorhen. It was almost the heron, but it only made it as far as extras.

Next stop, the supermarket. I may linger a moment in the wine section.

It has been a difficult few months for those of us on this unhappy island who have friends and valued colleagues from other parts of the EU (whether they live in the UK or not). It got worse today.
