Between fen and mountains

Partial reassembly

A clock blip either means lack of imagination or foul weather outside.  Today it is the latter as it has been cold, raining and miserable all day.  I went in to the hospital this morning and returned in the afternoon for tea with C. while new taps were fitted in the utility room and the loft was measured up for boarding.  Tonight I will have a quiet night in.  Yesterday was fairly tiring, out all day and badminton in the evening but at least we won.
The clock is from an Elliot mantel clock, the last quality English clock manufacturer, retailed by Mappin and Webb.  The movement is simple and well made.  I particularly like them as they are easy to repair and reassemble.  Usually they just need cleaning.
