Littlehampton: Little Stints

Still recovering from the viral infection that has affected Mrs Catspaw and me (and numerous other people round abouts) for the past week or so: however today I had the car booked in for a service at the excellent Fiat garage in Middleton on Sea.

The service revealed that both front tyres needed replacing as a matter of urgency, for which the Fiat dealer recommended what turned out to be a likewise excellent tyre dealer in nearby Littlehampton: and it was there, on taking a walk down to the Arun while the tyres were replaced and the wheel geometry adjusted, that I saw what I have now identified, back home, as a pair of Little Stints (Calidris minuta) feeding at the water's edge among the swans, gulls and other small waders.
