Quad-estrian Crossing!

"Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows
What are these blue remembered hills
What spires, what farms are those?"
A E Housman, A Shropshire Lad

The Long Mynd is a large and long plateau and together with the Stirperstones make up the largest area of heathland in the Shropshire Hills. At the moment the Long Mynd is at her loveliest wearing long petticoats of purple spike heather and is home to a wealth of wildlife, the area is steeped in history and folklore. It is also home to walkers, cyclists and Tigger's (husband) beloved Gliding Club where, as the weather has been so lovely today, the glider pilots have been able to take up the challenge of their set tasks as Task Week will finish tomorrow. Here is the Piper Pawnee which tows the gliders up, instead of a winch launch, and which had to halt momentarily as ..... madam decided she needed to cross the road.
