Via Airdrie

Up first thing to let Mr carpet fitter man in. By the time we were legging it out he'd got the underlay down. First stop Airdrie! Except that as some wee gadges had vandalised the Bathgate line, first stop was Glasgow, then back to Airdrie. A short walk to the house of J&W - rammed with artworks and cases of toys. And we ended rammed too - with cakes and tea.
Then back to Glasgow and a nose around an uninspiring exhibition at GOMA before meeting up with the sis at AB1 - the sis wants to sell mum's house in unseemly haste. I fear she's fallen in love. With a house in Moffat.
Then to the Royal Concert Hall for... tarra!! ..the opening concert tarrraaa! ... of Celtic Connections 2017! Tarra!! Laura Marling and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. And others too. I dunno - some stuff worked OK with the full ensemble (I think that's the parlance) - most notably Declan O'Rourke using it as if he was Nelson Riddle, but generally I preferred the more sparse stuff. Great gig though.
Then home .. but the Glasgow Edinburgh main line was closed. Back via Airdrie we did go. Twice in a day - more than enough for a lifetime.
