New shoes, shiny shoes!

After all yesterday's "excitement", we have had a relatively quiet day.
Today Eve is Four Years Old, but the big celebrations are on hold as she has the Chickenpox! We did manage a sort of quarantine party, Eve, Ali and Isla behind the patio doors and MaggieD and I sitting outside on the back steps. We had cake and juice and sang "Happy Birthday" after Eve opened her presents. I just hope those spots dry up quickly and we can get back to giving Eve the hugs she is missing out on just now.
Meantime, back out in the garage ( see today's extra) the GP9 is taking a little time out in the diesel shed for a once over while a Rock Island Line (Lonnie Donegan, of course) box car unloads at the freight shed.
