Drove south to see Mary (in the extra) after work today, down a foggy-in-patches M1, but then it cleared to a glorious sunniness! She cooked a lovely brunch and then we went for a walk up Croft Hill and around the edges of Croft Quarry - what a huge hole in the ground.
As usual Mary set challenges - running up long flights of steps cut into the hill slope; climbing over huge boulders and traversing a stream on the wrong side of the bridge. There's never a dull moment with this gal :-)
The journey home was a bit slow, but then it was Friday and it was rush-hour... which let's face it lasts all afternoon on a Friday.
