Pond

Another project this year which I should never have started. We had a very small pond with a few goldfish which we had to try & overwinter. In November 2011 we decided it was too much hassle to bring the fish indoors again for the winter (here you need 150cm depth to be frost free!) so we gave our 6 fish to someone in the village with a large pond.
This year I dug a big deep hole & here is the result. When I emptied the old pond, found 3 very small black goldfish which had been born last year & despite -26°C in February had survived! In the meantime I had bought 12 (for the price of 10!) new small goldfish costing 0.99cents/ea. Now the 15 are growing at a very fast rate & seem to be permanentely hungry.
