Hair ice

We went for a lovely, frosty walk in the Forest and just as we were almost back at the car I spotted this hair ice on one of the fallen branches.
I've never seen them before so I was pleased to spot them. They were not easy to get to so there's a few twigs etc in the way but I wanted to make a record of my sighting. Some info here http://www.bbc.co.uk/earth/story/20150727-mystical-hair-ice-riddle-solved
A few birds around including a buzzard, gold crest, coal tits ,female bullfinch and a robin eating berries.
Not as sunny as yesterday but still nice to go out and about.
