Keep awake!

"Achtung" means attention. It was a widespread Nazi slogan.

I added new material on my previous blip, and this is a follow-on. I hope you'll take just a few minutes to follow the links I provided there, which may help protect you from the Big Lie, a technique promoted and used by Hitler, explained in a helpful video by Scott Adams (who in addition to being a hugely popular cartoonist is a trained hypnotist).

A SPECIAL NOTE TO TRUMP SUPPORTERS:

"The great masses of the people... will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one." —Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf

If you have been suffering economically, if you feel neglected by our government, if our new President arouses hope in you, that is understandable. He is using powerful techniques of persuasion, and we know he's a master salesman. But keep awake! Pay attention! Become a partisan for truth!

Jesus said, "The truth will make you free." He also taught us to love our neighbor. He taught us to be Good Samaritans. He taught us to help one another, not treat others with contempt as the Pharisees did. So if you hear a Big Lie that tells you to disdain Mexicans, Muslims, or any other group that is part of the great American melting pot, recognize it and reject it. As St. Paul told us, "Faith, hope, and love ... And the greatest of these is love."
